The idea was to develop volunteer workforce and equip technical manpower of members to understand the concept of peering and DNS/DNSSEC. We have given ISOC Chapter fellowship to the budding young engineers under 25 to participate in these workshops. The participants came from across country. We had participants from Guwahati, New Delhi etc.

One of the major success of these workshop is signing of MoU with Catla IT & Engineering Company Private Limited to set up an Internet Exchange Point in Guwahati, Assam. Dr. Monowar Bhuian our IICB IETF fellow was also present during the signing of MoU and shown his willingness to support the initiative from Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam.

  1. I have been working with CATLA Broadband services for long and they have taken great steps in Internet growth and providing high speed bandwidth to the people in Guwahati. Moreover their business ethics are clear for any laymen to understand and partner with. Never knew they had signed an MoU with ISOC. Its a great thing.
